Energy, enterprise and endeavour at ENEX

The cream of New Zealand's oil and gas industry converged on New Plymouth from 9 to 10 June and e-BLS was in the thick of it.

The city played host to ENEX – New Zealand's oil and gas event, which served as a conference within an exhibition and was held at the TSB Stadium. Companies throughout the country had trade displays at the event and keynote speakers covered everything from 'keeping your workforce sober' to 'managing communications under fire'.

e-BLS, which works alongside a number of organisations in the energy sector, had a trade display stand and our representatives explained how we can assist companies in the oil and gas industry with their training needs.

A presententation called 'How to increase the cost-effectiveness of your training' was given to delegates by Sarah Brosnan, Business Development Manager for e-BLS. In this presentation, Sarah highlighted the fact that more and more businesses want just-in-time learning that fits around their schedules.

Sarah told the delegates that with the use of a diverse range of delivery formats, including mobile apps, portable media and learning management system-based content, they can cost-effectively upksill their staff while at the same time keep productivity levels high.

e-BLS sponsored the networking drinks function with live entertainment by Michele A'Court and Jeremy Elwood. It was an enjoyable time for colleagues and clients to catch up, share a drink and enjoy the entertainment. The winner of the bottle of G. H. Mumm French champagne draw was David Bradley from Todd Energy.
